UFFIS Portal
Urban Flood Forecasting Information System
Flood forecasting support for warning services
UFFIS gives each participating national meteorological and hydrological service its own forecasting portal, for its own catchments and its own duty desk.
Agency portals
Each service runs its own portal. Accounts are held there, and are arranged by the service itself.

How the programme works
One system, operated separately by each participating service.
-
A portal for each service
Every participating service runs its own portal, with its own accounts and its own data. Nothing crosses between them.
-
Shared forecasting, local catchments
The same rainfall, streamflow and impact modelling runs behind every portal, configured for the rivers each service is responsible for.
-
Built around the duty desk
Forecasters arrange the views their shift needs and share them with the people who act on the warning.
